Correct dependencies when installing for Ubuntu 24 or 22 LTS?

  • Hi all,

I tried to install current Bloonix using apt and Ubuntu 24 LTS minimal as base, but I am totally struck with dependencies or packets. Bloonix repo does not feature Ubuntu 24 (yet), and falling back to Ubuntu 22 breaks certain python3-related dependencies that I was not able to resolve. Does anyone already has e perience to get Bloonix server installed with Ubuntu 22 or 24, and could shed some light on how to succeed?

With Ubuntu 22 and apt, I tried to resolve missing dependency by installing the modules with Pip, but apt still won‘t be satisfied. Any ideas?

    Tnx, Patric

  • Ah, I see the problem. We don't build packages specifically for Ubuntu. We always build them on Debian and link the Debian packages to the corresponding Ubuntu release. Debian Trixie is not available yet – it's still not stable – so there are no packages for Ubuntu Noble yet.

I just triggered the build process from Bookworm to Noble.

    Update your sources.list:

    deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/bloonix.gpg] https://repo.bloonix.org/ubuntu/ noble main

I just installed the entire stack on Ubuntu 24.04. There were no issues.
